Active Season

The game keeps telling me I can't do things while not in the active season. I don't know what this means. Can someone please explain it to me? Thank you!

Exactly what do you want to do or what do you click when you got that message? Do you want to buy some cards? Do you want to challenge AI? Do you want to join to championships? What..?

It means you've activated the chrono trigger.
Go to the statue just above the AI computers and click the lion heart statue to remove the little emblem on your avatar.
You'll be able to do all the things then.

i want to be able to keep playing against the ai but eventually the points I would like to spend to keep adding to the list i lose all of my cards aside from lvl 1 monsters if i take of chrono.

If you play with a profile from a previous season you don't earn points, you have to use your new profile (the one with only level 1 cards).
